Stamping die is a special process equipment that processes materials (metal or non-metal) into parts (or semi-finished products) in cold stamping processing, which is called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die). Stamping is a kind of pressure processing method that uses the mold installed on the press to exert pressure on the material at room temperature to produce separation or plastic deformation, so as to obtain the required parts.
Classification according to process properties
a. A die that separates material along a closed or open contour. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, cutting die, trimming die, sectioning die, etc.
b. The bending die is a die that causes the blank or other blanks to bend and deform along a straight line (bending curve), so as to obtain a workpiece with a certain angle and shape.
c. The drawing die is a die that makes the blank of sheet metal into open hollow parts, or further changes the shape and size of hollow parts.
d. The forming die is a die that directly copies the blank or semi-finished workpiece according to the shape of the convex and concave die, while the material itself only produces local plastic deformation. Such as bulging die, necking die, expanding die, undulating forming die, flanging die, shaping die, etc.
e. Riveting die is to use external force to make the participating parts connect or lap together in a certain order and way, so as to form a whole
Classification according to the degree of process combination
a. Single process die is a die that only completes one stamping process in one stroke of the press.
b. The compound die has only one station. In one stroke of the press, it is a die that completes two or more stamping processes at the same station at the same time.
c. Progressive die (also known as continuous die) has two or more stations in the feeding direction of the blank. In one stroke of the press, it is a die that completes two or more stamping processes at different stations one by one.
d. The transfer mold combines the characteristics of single process mold and progressive mold. Using the manipulator transfer system to realize the rapid transfer of products in the mold can greatly improve the production efficiency of products, reduce the production cost of products, save material costs, and have stable and reliable quality.
